Tips to help your child sleep on holiday

  • Children are more sensitive to light/ morning light, so use this to help fight jet lag.

  • Restore your child's sleeping schedule by waking them up at their normal wake-up time.

  • If your child is going to bed really late due to late morning wake-ups and later naps, then shorten their nap by one- to two hours.

  • If your child is not napping then wake your child up earlier to expose them to bright light.

  • The day after you arrive wake your child up at their normal time to give them that bright sunlight.

  • Reestablishing their normal sleep schedule is key
